Christina has been a TCSOA board member for approximately 6 ½ years. She strives to help the members of TCSOA. Christina has served as a board member, Secretary and is currently serving as Vice President of the TCSOA Board of Directors and is ready and willing to serve the members of the Travis County Sheriffs Officer Association.
Christina attended James Bowie High School where she graduated from in 1993. She then attended Southwest Texas State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice. While attending college, she worked at the City Of Austin Municipal Court for four years.
In February of 1999, Christina began her career with the Travis County Sheriff’s Office. She started her career in Del Valle Building Three. Christina stayed at Building Three for about a year and half then transferred to Complex Security where she served some of her tenure as an FTO. Christina attended BPOC and successfully completed BPOC in 2002 to receive her Peace Officers License. She then transferred from Complex Security to Transportation. Christina served as an FTO 5 years of her 7 year tenure at Transportation.
Christina earned both her Master’s Jailer and Master’s Peace Officer Certificates.
Christina promoted to Sergeant in July of 2010. She was assigned to TCJ upon promotion and is now a Sergeant at the Central Booking Facility.
Christina is also an avid participant in community service. Her volunteer services include singing the Pan Am Thanksgiving National Anthem and then serving food to members of the community afterwards, sponsoring children through the BAIR Foundation, Brown Santa, Shattered Dreams and the Austin Children’s Shelter Halloween event and several other events.
