I first want to apologize for taking so long to write about TCSOA participating in this year's Special Olympics Fire Truck pull! TCSOA has participated in this worthy event for the last 3 years. We are pleased to inform you that TCSOA took 2nd place in the Law Enforcement Division! So we represented you well!
We want to encourage all our members to go out and make a difference in your communities! TCSOA can’t always be a financial partner for every event that our members are involved in; BUT maybe we can come out and support what you’re doing by helping serve in some form or fashion. TCSOA wants to support all our members as much as we can! Together we can make a difference!!!
When we received our most recent raise, I personally had a conversation with one of the Commissioners. What she told me made an impact on my life! What she said was our tax payers do not have a problem giving us raises when they see us in the community being involved. She said when we are giving back through finances or through our service it becomes contagious! We are able to make a difference in someone’s life. We may not always see or know how our actions impact others. We may touch a life or address a need at the right time. I encourage ALL of our members to get involved some way somehow in your communities!
Right now TCSOA has sponsored an Ipad for a raffle benefit for Officer Todd Noble from Building 1. He was diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer. His shift, a majority of TCSOA members came to us with a game plan to partner with them and we stepped up to the challenge! Now we ask YOU to help and make this a successful benefit for one of our own who needs us right now!
There is a flyer circulating with more details. The point of contacts are : Jaime.Castaneda@co.travis.tx.us (512)296-6129 and Davis.Wall@co.travis.tx.us (512)785-4705. We want to thank all our members because without you we would not be the force that we are in the community! So we truly Thank You from the bottom of our hearts!
