Travis County Sheriffs Association has partnered with Allstate Benefits to provide Supplemental Insurance Benefits to all Association Members and has now made these benefits available to all Travis County Sheriff’s employees and their families. The association has used its size to your advantage and brought you benefits that are not available from the County. These Insurance products will be available to you on a simplified underwriting basis, making it easier to qualify. Benefits are also available to immediate family, and are portable with no increase in premium.

Supplemental Insurance

Health events can be a major event to a family, and a dread disease will not only be a major event, it may also be accompanied by financial devastation. The deductibles, co-pays, and lost wages during a health event are hard to budget for, and that’s exactly what supplemental insurance does. It is designed to soften or alleviate the financial blow of a major health event. That’s why these insurance policies pay you directly, and not the care providers. The care providers are already being paid by your major medical insurance, and you in the form of deductibles and co-pays, but who pays you for the extra expenses incurred, and the lost wages associated with treatment and recovery. Allstate Benefits and the above coverages do.

Initial Enrollment at the JUNE 28, Association meeting held at the CLEAT offices and subsequently will be done at shift briefings .    Arrive early and speak with an enrollment agent.

AWD will provide agents to answer any questions and help you make informed decisions on benefits.  These benefits will be bank drafted, NOT payroll deducted, so bring your banking information.

All benefits will be paid directly to you the policy holder, not to Doctors, clinics or hospitals.
