I want to update you on our discussions with the county. We’ve resumed talks this week for FY26, and one key topic they’ve raised is “soft pay” (shift differentials, holiday pay, education pay, etc.).
Prior to the start of the POPS Working Group talks, we at TCSOA had outlined our priority list for the FY26 agenda. A major focus is increasing cadet pay to attract top talent to TCSO. This adjustment would also ensure corresponding increases across the POPS scale.
Please review the TCSOA priority list below, and feel free to share any feedback with me. Your input is valuable as we continue advocating for the best possible outcomes for our members. This list might not cover everything, but it is a start.
